Homemade Dog Biscuits

Ingredients 3/4 cups hot water 1/3 cup margarine 1/2 cup powdered milk 1 tsp salt 1 egg beaten 3 cups whole wheat flour


  1. In a large bowl, pour hot water over margarine

  2. Stir in powder milk

  3. Sitr in salt

  4. Stir in egg

  5. Add flour, 1/2 cup at a time

  6. Knead for a few minutes untill two still dough

  7. Pat or roll into dough into into 1/2 inch inch thickness

  8. Cut into bone shapes



Peanut Butter and Carrot Cake

Ingredients 1 cup whole wheat flour

1 tsp. baking powder

1/4 cup crunchy Xylitol free* peanut butter

1/4 low or non-fat yogurt

1 cup shredded carrots (set aside a handful for topping)

1 tblsp coarsely chopped peanuts (for topping)

1/4 cup honey

1 egg


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Mix flour and baking soda. Add the rest of the ingredients and stir until batter is smooth. Pour into small oven safe bowl and bake for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes our clean. Cool completely before frosting or serving.

  3. To Frost: Spread 1/4 cup of softened light or non-fat cream cheese and sprinkle with handful of saved shredded carrots and chopped peanuts.

Note: Leftover cake can be refrigerated for up to 5 days. It can also be cut into pieces and frozen. * See Safe Peanut Butter for more information
